The Glass Menagerie, the final play to be staged at The Yard Theatre before it closes for redevelopment, will extend its run by three weeks after selling faster than any show in the theatre’s history.

New performances of the Tennessee Williams play are now set to run until Saturday, May 10, 2025.

It is evening. Tom Wingfield is smoking in the alley outside the apartment where he grew up. Through a window, he watches his mother and his sister.

The cast includes Sharon Small (Amanda Wingfield), Tom Varey (Tom Wingfield), Eva Morgan (Laura Wingfield) and Jad Sayegh (Jim O’Connor).

The play is directed by Jay Miller. Cécile Trémolières is the set designer, with costume designer, lighting designer Sarah Readman, composer and sound designer Josh Anio Grigg, movement director Sung Im Her, wigs, hair and make-up designer Dominique Hamilton and casting director Arthur Carrington.
