Stuart Thompson and Renée Lamb will star in the world premiere of Nancy Netherwood’s Radiant Boy, which debuts at Southwark Playhouse Borough in May.

North-East England, 1983. As a snowstorm rages outside, trainee singer Russell and his mother Maud await the arrival of a young priest who believes Russell is a victim of possession.

Júlia Levai directs the new play with music about faith, shame and queerness. It is produced by Cloudburst Productions.

The set and costume designer is Tomás Palmer, with lighting design by Lucia Sanchez Roldan and sound design by Patch Middleton.
