Harrison Osterfield has joined the cast of Maia Novi’s semi-autobiographical play Invasive Species, which is coming to King’s Head Theatre this September following its Off-Broadway run.

Osterfield joins Ella Blackburn, Max Percy and Kalifa Taylor on stage alongside Novi, who reprises the lead role.

Maia will stop at nothing to be in the American movies, even if it means losing her mind. Following the journey of an Argentinean actor as she tests the limits of her American dream, Invasive Species is an outrageous dark comedy about how immigrating to the US maybe the role of a lifetime.

Directed by Michael Breslin, the dramaturg is Amauta M Firmino, with UK set designer & costume supervisor Damien Stanton, UK associate lighting designer Ben Jacobs, UK associate sound designer Dominic Brennan, production manager Carrie Croft, and general manager & executive producer James Quaife.

Lucy Moss (Six) is a coproducer alongside Eric Kuhn, Adam Rodney, Salem Productions, John Voege, Firmino and María Inés Olmedo Projects.

The UK run of Invasive Species follows its staging at The Vineyard’s Dimson Theatre in 2024, showcasing a production about immigration, identity politics and mental health.

It opens at King’s Head Theatre on September 5, 2025, and runs until October 3. Tickets here.
