Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro returns to London with his show F**king Men, landing at Waterloo East Theatre this month.
Produced by Adam Roebuck, the series had sell-out runs in 2023 and 2024, and now has a strictly six-week run from March 26 to May 4, with previewers from March 22.
Inspired by the classic play La Ronde, DiPietro reimagines the interwoven tales of sexual power, discovery, and exploration in the context of today’s gay scene.
F**king Men is described as a fascinating, funny and provocative story of sex, love, and connection. This dramatic comedy follows 10 men through a series of erotic encounters that change their lives in small but significant ways. In this raw and updated new version, DiPietro takes a sharp and insightful look at the experiences of modern gay men as they navigate their conflicting desires for the comfort of monogamous love and the thrill of sexual freedom.
Steven Kunis returns to direct a new cast, including Rob Alexander-Adams (Leo and Donald), Peter Caulfield (Steve, Brandon, and Jack), Benedict Clarke (John, Kyle, and Ryan), and Sven Ironside (Marco and Sammy).
The lighting designer is Alex Lewer, with set and costume designer Cara Evans, composer and sound designer Julian Starr and movement and intimacy director Lee Crowley. The voice and accent coach is Amanda Stephens.
