Dracula is now thrilling audiences at Lyric Hammersmith Theatre, with the production running at the venue until October 11, 2025.

This major new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s horror classic, written by playwright Morgan Lloyd Malcolm (Emilia, The Wasp) and directed by Emma Baggott (A Taste of Honey), uncovers the female voices at the heart of the tale.

Awakened by the unimaginable horrors she’s witnessed, Mina Harker demands your attention. You’d be wise to listen close.

The only survivor of the tragic events chronicled in the famous letters, Mina is here to recount her version of Dracula’s journey from Transylvania to London. Alongside trusted allies, and in memory of her beloved friend Lucy, they scramble to piece together the truth of his monstrous desires. But is their performance merely a warning – or does it have the power to conjure the dead?

Inspired by both gothic literature traditions and the macabre theatrical tradition of the Grand Guignol, this brand-new production promises to be a truly terrifying theatrical experience with plenty of blood, gore and murderous vampires.

The cast is led by Mei Mac as Lucy, with Jack Myers as Jonathan, Umi Myers as Mina, Phoebe Naughton as Van Helsing/Ensemble, Macy Seelochan as Elise/Ensemble and B Terry as Renfield/Ensemble. Casting is by Heather Basten.

The full creative team includes set & costume designer Grace Smart, lighting designer Joshie Harriette, composer & sound designer Adam Cork, movement director Chi-San Howard, illusion designers John Bulleid & Gareth Kalyan, fight & intimacy director Bethan Clark, voice coach Annemette Verspeak, assistant director Grainne Flynn, casting associate Louisa Smith and casting assistant Joyce Lulendo.
