Wicked star Cynthia Erivo will play Dracula and 22 other characters in a one-person stage production of Bram Stoker’s novel coming to the Noël Coward Theatre in 2026.

Produced by Michael Cassel and Kindred Partners’ Adam Kenwright, the show is adapted and directed by Kip Williams, who was also behind the one-person production of Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, starring Sarah Snook.

Dracula marks the return of Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winner and three-time Oscar nominee Erivo to the stage for the first time in nearly a decade, playing a total of 23 characters – from the naïve solicitor Jonathan Harker and his fiancée Mina Murray to confidante Lucy Westenra, her suitors, and the formidable vampire hunter Van Helsing, as well as Count Dracula themself.

Behind the scenes, Williams reunites with designer Marg Horwell and lighting designer Nick Schlieper. With a show boasting live video, pre-recorded film and a live performance from Erivo, the team also includes sound designer Jessica Dunn, video designer Craig Wilkinson, composer Clemence Williams and dramaturg Zahra Newman.

First staged by Sydney Theatre Company in 2024 starring Newman, Dracula marks the final production in Williams’ gothic trilogy, following The Picture of Dorian Gray and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Dracula plays at the Noël Coward Theatre from February 4 – May 31, 2026. Sign up for more details and ticket details here: Dracula
