Anthony Calf, Kate Duchêne, Pooky Quesnel and Paul Rider will star in Quartet in Autumn, a new adaptation of Barbara Pym’s novel that will open at the Arcola Theatre this May.

A wry, poignant and hopeful meditation on life through the lives of four Londoners, the story is described as an ode to ageing, friendship and the strange poetry of everyday life.

Quartet in Autumn will be adapted for the stage for the very first time by Samantha Harvey, marking her own stage writing debut, and the world premiere will be directed by Dominic Dromgoole.

The designer is Ellie Wintour, the lighting designer is Skylar Turnbull Hurd and the sound designer is Ella Wahlström.

The production runs at the Arcola Theatre in London from May 7 – June 13. Tickets here.
