Dear England star Will Close has joined the cast of Porn Play, which will have its world premiere at the Royal Court Theatre in November.
Close joins the previously announced Ambika Mod (One Day), Lizzy Connolly and Asif Khan.
Ani is a dazzling young academic with a secret addiction to violent pornography. In between receiving awards and delivering lectures on Paradise Lost, her career and relationships begin to unravel as she struggles to confront her uncontrollable desires.
Described as funny, unsettling and honest, Porn Play marks the Royal Court debut of writer Sophia Chetin-Leuner.
Directed by Josie Rourke, the full cast and creative team includes choreographer Wayne McGregor as movement director, designer Yimei Zhao, lighting designer Mark Henderson and sound designer Helen Skiera. Casting is by Jessica Ronane.
The costume supervisor is Ellen Rey de Castro, stage manager is Aime Neeme and deputy stage manager is Charlotte Padgham.
Porn Play is a coproduction with Sister.
