Shirley Valentine, Legally Blonde and Funny Girl star Sheridan Smith returns to the West End stage in a new production of Alan Ayckbourn’s psychological comedy Woman in Mind, coming to the Duke of York’s Theatre this December.
Directed by Michael Longhurst, this revival explores one woman’s fractured reality with heart and humour. When Susan sustains a bump to the head, her world splits in two – one mundane, one imagined – and the lines begin to blur. Ayckbourn’s play is a gripping exploration of identity, family, and mental escape.
Woman in Mind has set & costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Lee Curran, sound design by Paul Arditti and casting by Jim Carnahan and Liz Fraser. It is produced by Wessex Grove and Gavin Kalin Productions.
Woman in Mind runs for a strictly limited run at the Duke of York’s Theatre from December 9, 2025, to February 28, 2026. It then moves to Sunderland and Glasgow.
Tickets are now on sale here.
