Elizabeth Connick, Ned Costello and William Robinson will star in The Pitchfork Disney, a new production of Philip Ridley’s play opening at King’s Head Theatre this September.

Directed by Max Harrison, Connick plays Haley, with Costello as Presley and Robinson as Cosmo in a story that follows the relationship of two siblings and an encounter they have with an unexpected visitor.

Ten years ago something terrible happened to Presley and Haley. Since then they’ve lived alone in their dead parents’ house, doors bolted against the terrors of the world. But, one night, Presley sees a beautiful stranger on the street outside. And while his sister sleeps… he invites in their worst nightmare.

From Lidless Theatre, Zoe Weldon and King’s Head Theatre, the designer is Kit Hinchcliffe, with lighting designer Ben Jacobs, sound designer Sam Glossop, general manager Jame Quaife and production manager Carrie Croft.

Ridley’s first professional stage play, The Pitchfork Disney premiered at Bush Theatre on January 2, 1991, and was instrumental in launching the In-Yer-Face theatre movement. This production marks a continued collaboration between Lidless Theatre and Philip Ridley, following the company’s stagings of Moonfleece and Tender Napalm.

The Pitchfork Disney opens on September 2, with previews from August 27, and concludes on October 4. Tickets here.
