Kyll Thomas-Cole and Lennie Longworth play star-crossed lovers in a “dreamlike, raw and unconventional” take on Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet at Wilton’s Music Hall this June.

From Flabbergast Theatre, Thomas-Cole is Romeo and Longworth is Juliet, with a cast that also features Nadav Burstein (Tybalt), Daniel Chrisotomou (Duke/Friar Lawrence/Peter), Vyte Garriga (Nurse), Simon Gleave (Mercutio) and Henry Maynard (Lord Capulet/Benvolio).

Embracing passion, violence and ecstatic tragedy in a bold new staging of Romeo & Juliet, this new production blends swashbuckling physicality, bawdy humour, live music, clowning and mask work to create a fever dream of movement and emotion.

The creative team includes director Henry Maynard, musical consultant Nick Hart, lighting designer Rachel Shipp, design & costume from Henry Maynard, choreographer Briony O’Callaghan, associate directors Briony O’Callaghan & Simon Gleave and movement consultant Matej Matejka.

Romeo & Juliet follows Flabbergast’s take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Wilton’s in 2024.

Performances run from Tuesday, June 10 to Saturday, June 21. Tickets: Wilton’s Music Hall
