From the London Theatre Company in collaboration with Wouter van Ransbeek, it is written and directed by Simon Stone (Yerma), with Vikander (Ex-Machina) playing Ellida and Lincoln (The Walking Dead) as Edward.

The Lady from the Sea is described as Ibsen’s radically modern portrayal of a woman’s fight for autonomy in her relationship. Fearful she may have settled too easily for a comfortable life married to a well-off doctor, Ellida searches for a way to break the predictable routine her existence has become. When a lover from her past appears at their remote country house, she has to choose between the life she has now built and the one she left behind long ago.

Previews will begin on Wednesday, September 10 before opening on Thursday, September 18. It is due to run for nine weeks until Saturday, November 8.

Tickets go on general sale on Tuesday, May 13. Tickets: The Lady from the Sea
